Susan Thornton '76
Played almost every varsity sport at Harpeth Hall and became one of the original Lady Volunteers for track and field at University of Tennessee. She coached shot put and discus at Harpeth Hall for 17 years.

Kathy Denton Stumb '79
Won Harpeth Hall's first State High School Championship for tennis. She played tennis for University of Alabama and played the professinal circuit in Europe.

Karinne Miller Caulkins '80
Is a state champion, former American record holder and Pan-American Games silver medalist in swimming. She qualified for the 1980 Olympic Trials and swam for the University of Florida.

Lissa Bradford '81
Won the first individual state championship in golf as a Harpeth Hall senior. She was golf team captain at the University of Alabama and among other accomplishments was named Head Women's Golf Coach at Belmont University.

Carolyn Sloan Burton '81
Emerged as a top middle distance runner and dominated in both track and cross country at Harpeth Hall. Highly recruited, she accepted a full scholarship in Track and Field at Stanford University.

Macie Phillips Smitherman '81
Is a state and national champion in swimming and an American record holder. Qualifying for the USA Swimming National Championships, and the 1980 Olympic Trials, she earned a swimming scholarship to the University of Texas.
